But of all things to drive that far for, the Taj was so worth it - especially as the fog lifted, about an hour before we got there. It was built by the Emperor in memory of his favourite wife - and when you finally see it, it's just simply amazing. And then when you hear the story behind it, as corny as it sounds, the underlying love does contribute to its beauty. It's set up so that this first building acts as a veil
